Description
This is the pattern for my Green Apple Plushie [link] as requested by ~Snowstar-N-Friends. If you print the pattern onto normal 8.5x11 paper, it will be the same size as my original pattern. You need 4 pieces to create the apple.
I will not be creating a tutorial for this plushie, so you will basic plushie sewing skills already to use it. There are multiple ways to create the stem and leaf, so I will leave that up to you.
Also, since I will not be creating a tutorial for this plushie, I will mention here how to create the dimples on the top and bottom of the apple.
1. After completing the body of your apple and sewing it closed, sew the beginning of a new piece of thread VERY securely in the very center. You're going to be pulling on the thread very strongly, so you need to make sure it won't come loose. It doesn't have to be pretty, this part will later be hidden by the stem and leaf.
2. Push the needle downwards all the way through the apple and out through the bottom, in the center. Since the apple is stuffed, this may be tricky.
3. Now tie the thread off, securing it to the bottom center of the apple. A small simple knot will just go back through the fabric, so make sure it's very secure. (Though the bottom will not be hidden by a leaf or stem, so you might need to be a little neater than you were with the top) When you're doing this, you can control just how dimpled your apple is by controlling how much of the length of thread remains inside the apple. The less thread inside, the closer the top and bottom will be, and therefore the more dimpled the apple will be.
Keeping strong pressure on the thread while you're securing it is definitely the hardest part of making this plushie, and I stabbed myself with the needle quite a few times, so be careful!
My final plushie was very dimpled, and stands at just 5 inches high, from a 10-inch tall pattern. It is about 6.5 inches wide.
